Safety Rules for Concrete Pump Operation
Operation of concrete pump entails strict safety rules. New operators are recommended to learn serious about the rules to guarantee safety of themselves and to keep smooth operation of the pump.
Generally speaking, there are five basic rules that you must follow in concrete pump operation. First, the cover lid should be fixed to the pump body with bolts of 28mm diameter. Check that there are no gaps between the lid and the body. Second, the feeding pipe should be a PE pipe with diameter of 160mm. You must adopt standard pipe clamps and bolts to connect pipes and the pump body. And the connected parts should be fastened with at least two circles of iron wire. Third, during the whole pumping process entry of the feeding pipe must be tied to nearby stands or other stable things steadily so that the pipe will not fall off the pump. Fourth, the outlet end of the feeding pipe must be fixed firmly to something that is strong enough. No passage under or near the feeding pipe. Fifth, owing to the fact that the concrete pump is equipped with compressed air driving system, control valves of the driving system should be installed far from the pump for remote control. The distance between the valves and the pump must not be less than 5 meters. No one is allowed to walk near or by the pump during its starting up.
Besides, you must inspect the following parts before starting up a concrete pump. First, check whether the pump body, discharging hole and delivery pipe are blocked. In case of blocking, you should clean remaining concrete or other alien materials. Second, check whether the pump body, cover lid and bolts are in good state. If you find problems like serious wearing that may lead to cracking or slippery, you must power off the pump immediately to repair or replace the problematic components. Third, make sure that separate parts are connected steadily together.
