Conveying belt of a plant concrete, after a period of usage, may slide location or have other problems. If the problem can not be solved by usual methods, you may have to replace it with a new belt, which entail skills of belt installation. When you buy a new conveying device, you are faced with the same problems, too. Here are some tips for smooth installation.

　　First, power off the plant concrete, remove the protection cover of the conveyor and loosen bolts of the motor. Mobile motor makes the belt loose enough so that operators can take down industrial belt without prying. It is worth mentioning that you can never pry the belt off the conveyor with tools because it will damage other devices. Second, get the old screw conveying belt down and check whether there are unusual worn parts. If so, you should further check the design and maintenance method of the conveying device. Third, choose a suitable new belt. Fourth, clean the new belt and belt pulley using cloth with liquid which does not evaporate easily. It’s not recommendable to wash the belt in water with cleaning agents, or to remove oil and stain by scraping the belt using rough materials like sand paper. The belt must be dry before being installed. Fifth, make sure that belt pulleys have no unusual wearing problems and that they are symmetrical in line, or else the conveyor will fail to operate smoothly. Sixth, check other conveying components of the plant concrete, such as symmetricity of bearings and their covers, and lubricating state etc. Seventh, install the new belt onto the pulleys. Do not pry or use too much force. Eighth, shorten the central distance until the interface tensiometry detects appropriate tensions. Then move the main driven pulley to make it rotate for several circles before measure the tension again. Ninth, tighten the bolts and correct the torque. Any change of central distance can influence normal conveying in operation. Therefore, all bolts must be tightened completely. Tenth, start the conveyor of the plant concrete and check whether there are abnormal noise.
